I want a Dole Whip so badly right now!
I’m starting to feel more content. I got to have a nice talk with Gabe yesterday and it was just one phone conversation but it really helped me to feel more confident that I can make it through down here. Oh and thank God that Chris has AT&T because otherwise we’d be racking up some serious minutes but it’s my friends from home that are helping to keep my sane while I try to make some good friends down here.
On the topic of good friends, Eline and I hung out last night and it was such a blast! IT was definitely one the best night I’ve had down here without any visitors from home. We didn’t do much, we just went to Downtown Disney and the delicious Earl of Sandwich, then bought a 6-pack of corona and headed back to her apartment (which isn’t wellness like mine since she and all her roommates are 21 or older). It was only me, Eline, and her roommate Anna (from Serbia) listening to Eline’s ‘Carnival’ music which is a big thing in Holland that’s like a combination of Mardi Gras and Halloween and it sounds like so much fun!!! I’ll be joining in on the Queen’s Day celebration this year which is on April 29th I think? But it seems to be the same as St. Patrick’s Day except instead of wearing green, it’s orange. Especially since I had to miss out on all the St. Patrick’s Day festivities this year (thanks final exams) I’m pumped to see what this Queen’s Day celebration is all about.
Lets see what else… work is still going wonderfully. I ADORE the parades at Magic Kingdom, and the days I’m lucky enough to be within earshot of them are my favorites because it’s such a pick-me-up. I also love hearing the fireworks from inside of the princess and fairies tent, or the judges tent because it makes the whole thing shake and its soo powerful that you can feel it in your chest; it’s just incredible. Oh and all this working out in the sun is really helping me to tan, unfortunately it’s a farmer’s tan to the max with sleeve, sock, and v-neck collar lines but whatever, I’ll take what I can get. It is pretty funny to see though.
I can’t think of anything else right now other than…
“The most wonderful thing about tiggers, is tiggers are wonderful things. Their tops are made out of rubber. Their bottoms are made out of springs. They’re bouncy trouncy flouncy pouncy fun fun fun fun fun. The most wonderful thing about tiggers is: I’m the only one. I’m the only one!”
