“Why? Who’s tartan nar?”
My birthday was so much better than expected! Thanks for all the birthday wishes! It’s so great to know that you were all thinking of me on my special day. It was harder than expected to be so far from everyone though, with the exception of my Mom, Dad, and Ky who were able to come down and actually be with me for the weekend (Thank God!), but I just really wanted to be able to share it with everyone that I cared about but we’ll just have to have seperate mini-celebrations the next time we get together. For my actual birthday, my Parents, Ky, and I all went out to Raglan Road -an nice Irish Restaurant/Pub in Downtown Disney- for dinner last night, then went out to the Boardwalk and stopped into the ESPN Club for a round of drinks (including a margarita for me), then we went to this adorable ice cream parlor where I got a brownie a la mode and it was phenomenal.
Work wise, I’ve been trying to meet some new people to hang out with so that I can hopefully develop some solid friendships to make things easier down here. On the Saturday night right before my birthday, I made a friend from Holland named Eline and she was so sweet to me, although she was off work at 11:15, she came back to see me at Midnight to be the first to say happy birthday and gave me a huge hug. It was just a simple thing that left me feeling a million times better, so I’m looking forward to hanging out with her sometime.
Oh! My parents brought me down a nice new 6-person tent for my birthday so sleeping arrangements while visiting me will be nice and cheap!!! (hint hint!)
So basically every night brings its challenges but working here is incredible, and I truly adore the time I spend working. I get to hang out with some amazing people on breaks, and help people find what they’re looking for when I’m actually on-stage (aka out in the parks). So it’s been really great for me. Now I’m just contemplating if I’d like to switch to a non-wellness apartment since I have the option now that I’m 21. I’ve been really bonding with Lizy, but things are just kind of at a standstill with the other two. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
