i knew it would get better!
so i only was allowed to sleep for 4 hours last night before i had to wake up before the sun so i’m trying to get to sleep here very soon to hopefully make up for that? but i wanted you all to know that things are improving quickly!! this morning involved waking up at 5:30 for my traditions class (first paid day of work!) which was about the past present and future of the disney company and some basics like smiling, safety, respect, smiling, making other people smile, and smiling. we also got our nametags (which i was super excited for to be honest!) and our cast member cards (employees are called cast members) which allow us to clock in, clock out, and park, and get into all the parks, and discounts within those parks for F.R.E.E. so needless to say it was a very exciting day despite running on 4 hours of sleep. trey and i hit up animal kingdom for expedition everest and just to see it real quick because trey had never been but it was a quick in and out. then it was off to the disney hollywood studios because obviously we had to hit up the tower of terror and rock-n-roller coaster and then it was back to patt for some dinner out of our fridges… which was much more successful than my attempt at lunch which involved my first ever electric stove experience, and burnt rice-a-roni (i had no idea i could ruin rice-a-roni, but it happenned).
things have really been looking up around here as i start getting more and more involved with being a character attendant working in the parks, and as trey and i hang out more because we’re fun people with a very similar sense of humor. it makes things so much more enjoyable!
oh! and i got to meet up with monica, my friend i had met through our failure of coming to the character auditions way back when on the right day. we both came thinking it was the day before and decided to grab coffee and make the best of it. she’s been here since january and it was just so much fun to catch up and hang out again! andhopefully we’ll be repeating it soooon!
