A Perfect Little Vacay…
Because that’s exactly what the past weekend was. Like I had mentioned, Gabe was able to fly down early Friday and stay until the crack of dawn on Sunday and although it was only 2 short days, we definitely lived each moment to the fullest and have made an insane amount of memories. It was just what I needed to lift my spirits and it made me feel like I can make it through until my next group of visitors which is my WHOLE family- including Cody this time Yay!!!!
Day one consisted of: airport loops, smiling fests, denny’s, napping, lounging at the beach and struggling with the non-twist-off bottle caps, which ended in some bloody knuckles for both of us, landshark, watersliding, swimming, setting up our tent in the last few minutes of sunlight, a delicious meal at bahama breeze, too much food at bahama breeze and having to sit and let it all digest for an extra half hour or so, then it was back to the tent to get ready for our big day on Saturday, and the most content sleep I’ve had in months.
Day two: making sandwiches in the early early morning, having to go all the way back to my apartment for my pass, a make-shift belt, Hollywood Studios! Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror, coffee break, EPCOT! the beautiful flower and garden festival is going on, fastpasses for Test Track, Trolls in Norway, Casa beer in Morocco, Strongbow in the U.K., and being able to drink a beer while walking around the world showcase, Test Track breaks down and we can’t ride it, Spaceship Earth, sandwich break, Magic Kingdom! too many rides to list them all but the highlights were arriving just in time for the 3:00 Parade, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, The Haunted Mansion, Walking past the Columbia Harbor House restaurant about 20 times (not including being in it once for dinner), Pirates, the make-shift-belt finally gave up, getting stuck in the all-the-way-down position for our whole Dumbo ride, having to look left then right (then left then right) for the whole fireworks show, and ended the night with a solid Big Thunder Mountain round 2, my favorite ice cream cookie sandwich, and my new chocolate mickey (which is not edible, but a plush mickey that i’ve had my eye on for a while), then back to the tent for a few hours of sleep before we had to get Gabe back to the airport.
Like I said it was exactly what I needed, and I think Gabe would say the same. And we collected lots of pictures and many more memories along the way. But now it’s back to the usual, luckily it’s my day off though! I think I’m headed off to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach with Eline and some people she knows so hopefully that’ll be fun, maybe I’ll even do Summit Plummet who knows?
